Our client is a highly respected supplier of measurement and control equipment to the global rotating equipment markets, covering industrial turbo machinery, oil and gas, marine, renewables, automotive and aerospace and defence.
They have an ongoing commitment in R and D and product development and provide both COTS and customised products. This unwavering commitment to developing the best in class products has given then a broad and enviable product range.
Due to a focus on their technical competitiveness they have grown steadily in certain areas but may not have penetrated all their potential markets, therefore, to take the business on its next phase of growth they are looking to appoint a Sales and Marketing focused MD that understand the products and markets to identify new applications, new markets and new customers.
The successful candidate must have a technical ability to understand the product applications and is likely to be an engineer at heart. Despite this engineering background you won’t want to get involved in the development process, they have some highly skilled engineers for that, instead you will be setting the vision and course for growth, developing marketing strategy and collateral and generally being in front of customers. Yes, you will have all the other responsibilities of an MD but there is a fantastic team to help there.
