If designing contemporary furniture that’s high quality and built to last is your passion, we have a position that could be of interest.
The business manufactures a range of furniture and equipment with applications in healthcare, clinical and medical setting.
Alongside guiding a small team of designers, your main responsibility will be to manage the technical design, whilst getting involved in the quality management standards and manuals. You will be involved in driving new product development, but your focus will be customising the products to suit. The initial focus is ensuring the products are aesthetically pleasing but functional and low maintenance.
To be successful in this role you must have a product/furntituredesign background with a good appreciation of mechanica engineering tool. You will have managed or supervised a small team and have experience of solidworks in product design. Experience or an interest in furniture design would be advantageous. You should have understanding or experience of ISO Standards and CE Markings. Knowledge of the manufacturing process is necessary, as well as understanding bill of materials and supply chain lead times.
